Bereaved Parents Support Group

Cancer Support Group
Provides support, fellowship and information to patients and their significant others before, during and after treatment. Meets at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of each month in the Medical Oncology conference room on the second floor of Self Regional Medical Center. Depression/Manic Depression Support Group

This diabetes insulin pump support group meets at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month on the ground floor of Self Regional’s Optimum Life Center.

Breastfeeding Classes
Learn everything you need to know to establish a successful breastfeeding relationship with your new baby. This information-packed class covers how to get started, returning to school or work, weaning and much more. Classes are from 7-8 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month and from 1-2 p.m. the second Monday of each month. Location of classes will be provided upon registration. Childbirth Classes
Topics include nutrition, proper breathing, exercise, what to do when you come to the hospital and pain management. These classes take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the first and second Saturday of each month. Classes take place in the hospital Private Dining Room. The cost is $50. Starting Off Right, Early Pregnancy Classes
These free classes are for anyone 3-6 months pregnant. Issues discussed include anatomy and vocabulary, nutrition, exercising, signs of pre-term labor, routine tests done during pregnancy and questions to ask your doctor. Moms will receive a baby care video, information handout, gift bag and information of what you will learn in childbirth classes. Classes take place from 7-8:30 p.m. Class dates for 2009 are January 29th, April 29th, July 29th, and October 28th in the private dining room at Self Regional Medical Center.
