Self Regional Healthcare has an organization-wide Infection prevention and control program to reduce the risk of development of healthcare–associated infections. This program is evaluated and revised at least annually and whenever risks are significantly changed.
The South Carolina Hospital Infections Disclosure Act (HIDA) requires hospitals to report certain hospital acquired infection rates to the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) every six months. Hospitals are required to make the reports available to the public.
