Open-air MRI – Hate tight spaces? Lots of people do. That’s why the Imaging Center of Self Regional Healthcare has an “open air” MRI, a state-of-the-art outpatient
diagnostic tool. It is in a large, comfortable and private room. Unlike “tube” MRIs, this one gives you plenty of breathing room. People used to have to drive far away for open-air MRI, but now it’s close and convenient.
64-Slice CT – It’s the closest thing to seeing inside your body without a scratch. Self Regional’s 64-slice CT can scan your whole body in less than a minute and provide your doctors with the most detailed images available anywhere.
3-D Vascular Imaging – Now surgeons can see the problem before it’s treated. New vascular imaging technology makes 3-D models of aortic and cerebral aneurysms, and arterial blockages in the neck, kidneys and limbs. It creates highly detailed images of the smallest vessels to help guide surgery or stenting–with minimum radiation.
PET-CT Scan – When you’re facing the possibility of cancer, you need answers. Fast. The Imaging Center of Self Regional Healthcare can help. We offer a new outpatient diagnostic tool called a PET-CT scanner. It can literally pinpoint cancer activity in its early stages. And our radiologists are specially trained to use this state-of-the art
technology and they support your physician the information to make a diagnosis. People used to have to drive far away for this technology, but now it’s close and
convenient. And it’s only at Self.
Level III Neonatal Intensive Care - Some babies arrive a little too early. Others are born with special needs. For newborns like these, our fully accredited Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is available to help 24 hours a day. Ours is the only Level III NICU in the Lakelands region. Having it close by means you can choose to stay near family and friends even when your pregnancy entails higher than normal risk. And you can choose Self's NICU with incredible confidence.
